Zizi Biantoko is a Kikongo phrase that translates to 'Beautyful Faces'. The face is the heart or core expression of a person, place or a thing. It is the window into its essence: the face of the mountain, the face of the stream, the face of an elder, the face of justice. This is what a photographer seeks to uncover. For me, photography is a vehicle in the search for home, in the search for stories that will inspire Afrikan people wherever WE are and help us to rediscover our way home.

Kwadwo & Ayo,
Medase for your efforts to bring this gift to us.
We just read your words and saw your pictures in our African World class.
We are all very moved and strengthened by this great dose of "ourstory."

Kwadwo,

I haven't been able to upload my photos or even post entries of my various trips to Africa. I shall
